近年、陶芸家にしか出来ない現代美術とは何か、と考え制作しています。我々陶芸家は、器をつくりますが、見えないものや、形のないものを盛る器をつくることにより、新しい表現が可能だと考え、2012年から光を盛るための器というコンセプトで輝器‐KAGAYAKIシリーズを制作しています。 　この椀は2018年1月にオランダのEKWCで制作した作品で、焼くと半透明になる信楽透土を持ち込み、EKWCの蓄光釉薬を施しました。日本の最先端素材とオランダの最先端素材を日本の伝統工芸の技術で美に昇華しました。 I am trying approach to contemporary art from ceramic art. For example, vessel for sounds, vessel for time, vessel for light or rays. 輝器 KAGAYAKI is vessel of lights or rays. I made KAGAYAKI body by translucent clay. This clay has been developed at Industrial Research Center of Shiga Prefecture in 2009. I fired with luminous glaze on this bowl. This bowl is glowing in the dark. I made this bowl at EKWC Netherland in 2018.
